GILT SUMMARY: Gilts look set to finish Wednesday slightly stronger in a fairly
quiet day marked by minimal data and speakers, and a lack of real direction as
markets digested political developments in the US.
- The Sep8 Gilt future is up 2 ticks at 123.40, having traded in a fairly narrow
28 tick range all day with high of 123.58 and low of 123.30.
- The curve is ever so slightly flatter, with 2-yr yields unchanged at 0.721%,
5-yrs flat at 1.010%, 10-yr yields down 0.2bps at 1.264%, and 30-yr 0.5bps down
at 1.174%.
- Short Sterling futures seeing very modest moves as well, with a smattering of
contracts up 1 tick. 
- No UK data Thursday, but attention will be paid this evening to FOMC minutes
from the last meeting.
