Global Jet Fuel Demand’s Trajectory Stabilising: BNEF

Global jet fuel demand is set to remain broadly flat for the week commencing July 30, in line with seasonal trends as summer travel peak looms, BNEF said.

  • Implied jet fuel demand is set to stand at around 7.19m b/d, a rise of around 0.2% on the week.
  • All regions apart from Latam and Oceania are set for marginal week-on-week rises.
  • Asia is leading the way in outright terms, up around 8.8k b/d.
  • International demand is up 0.4% on the week to 4.46m b/d, while domestic demand is down 0.2% to 2.74m b/d.
  • Domestic air travel in China is set to continue rising, with the number of scheduled flights set for a 1.2% increase for the week starting August 6.
