Global Jet Fuel More Expensive than Diesel: Kpler

Global Spreads of jet fuel vs ULSD have flipped to premium the for the first time since February, according to Bloomberg citing Kpler.

  • The flip in the spreads demonstrate the “pervasive, bearish tone in the gasoil markets and an increasingly tightening jet market,” Kpler said.
  • Nonetheless, Europe is likely to have an 0.85m b/d deficit of ULSD throughout the winter until February.
  • “Europe will still need to procure on-specification winterized diesel at a time when the long-dormant aviation industry is beginning to finally break away from pre-pandemic baselines,” Kpler said as reported by Bloomberg.
