EGB SUMMARY: Greek bonds are the outperformer in the EGB space early Monday,
with the key ECB meeting looming later this week.
- Spread of 10-Yr Greek bonds vs Bunds is down 3.3bps at 343.4bps, triggered by
Moody's 2-notch upgrade of the sovereign to B1 with stable outlook (prev. B3;
outlook positive). Some talk of issuance announcements following this upgrade.
- Mar 19 Bund future is up 19 ticks at 165.41, rising from earlier lows as
risk-on tone has faded from early exuberance over U.S-China trade headlines.
- German 2-Yr yield is unchanged at -0.508%, 5-Yr down 0.6bps at -0.28%, 10-Yr
down 0.7bps at 0.176%, and 30-Yr down 0.7bps at 0.808%.
- Mar 19 BTP future is down 8 ticks at 128.28, having traded in a range of
128.24-128.61 today.
- Eurex First Notice/Last Trade date is Thursday 7th; we will be issuing a
futures roll update around 1230GMT today.
- Fairly thin on data today (Eurozone PPI at 1000GMT).
- No ECB speakers ahead of the Governing Council meeting on Thursday.
