BOE: Greene: Views seem much more in line with core of MPC than those of a hawk

BOE

The conclusions from Greene's speech do seem to move her away from her former hawkish tilt. There is a lot more balanced language here. Will she vote for a March cut? Very, very unlikely here. But could she switch to sequential cuts before one of the other five members that we don't expect to favour cuts in March? Possibly.

  • Her views now seem much more in line with (rather than more hawkish than) Bailey, Breeden, Lombardelli (and we haven't really heard from Pill in a personal capacity for some time).
