US NATGAS: Henry Hub Rallies Further After EIA Storage Data

Henry Hub front month extends the earlier gains after the updated US natural gas storage data from EIA.

  • The EIA weekly gas inventories for the week ending Feb. 7 showed a withdrawal of 100bcf.
  • A Bloomberg survey average suggested a draw of 96bcf on the week while a Reuters survey showed a 106bcf draw and WSJ a 96bcf draw.
  • The seasonal five year average was a net withdrawal of around 144bcf.
  • Total stocks are down to 2,297bcf and 248bcf below levels seen a year ago and 67bcf below the previous five year average of 2,364bcf.
    • US Natgas MAR 25 up 5.9% at 3.78$/mmbtu
    • US Natgas APR 25 up 5.3% at 3.76$/mmbtu
    • US Natgas FEB 26 up 1.5% at 4.62$/mmbtu
