The US Henry Hub natural gas price is expected to fall to a four-year low in 2024, according to an average of ten analyst forecasts by Reuters.

  • The Henry Hub benchmark in Louisiana is forecast to average $2.43/mmbtu in 2024 before rising to $3.43/mmbtu in 2025 and compared to the five-year 2019-2023 average of $3.49/mmbtu.
  • The forecast compares to a three-year low of $2.54/mmbtu in 2023, a 14-year high of $6.42/mmbtu in 2022, a 25-year low of $2.03/mmbtu in 2020 due to coronavirus demand destruction.
