House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is expected to announce her plans for the future today.

• Pelosi’s spokesperson Drew Hammill said yesterday Pelosi “ The Speaker plans to address her future plans tomorrow to her colleagues. Stay tuned.”
• Punchbowl News: “House Democrats will gather for a whip meeting at [09:00 ET 14:00 GMT]. Several Democrats told us they expect Pelosi to make a speech on the floor sometime after that. Multiple Democrats said they expect a “Dear Colleague...”
• Axios writes that Pelosi's long-time deputy, Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-MD), “is keeping his options open regardless of her decision. If Pelosi leaves but Hoyer tries to stay in leadership, there would be a cut-throat game of musical chairs — with only three leadership seats for four lawmakers.”
• Politico: “Pelosi, of course, made a promise years ago that this term as speaker would be her last atop the Democratic caucus. But a lot has happened since 2018 and some in the caucus think she is still the best positioned to lead House Democrats.”
