Hungary Eyes Gas, Oil Imports From Oman

Hungary has started talks on the possible import of natural gas and crude oil from Oman, Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Peter Szijjarto said.

  • Hungary’s MOL has established a strategic partnership with Oman's national oil company in recent years will hold an inaugural meeting of the Hungarian-Omani joint economic committee soon.
  • This week Hungary announced it had agreed to start talks with Qatar for potential LNG supplies.
  • Earlier this month, the minister said “Hungary is receiving the bulk of oil supplies via the Druzhba pipeline and does not see alternatives to that.”
