HUNGARY: NBH Minutes Set for Release, Focus on US CPI

  • The central bank is set to publish the minutes of its last rate-setting meeting at 13:00BST/14:00CET, where the Monetary Council decided to pause its easing cycle. Our review for that decision can be found here.
  • There are no local economic releases scheduled for today, or for the remainder of the week.
  • The focus today will therefore be on US CPI, which is expected to show headline easing to 2.5% y/y with core stable at 3.2%. As a reminder, the NBH said in its previous policy statement that the scope for further easing will depend on the policies of major global central banks.
