HUNGARY: Producer Prices Rise 1.3% M/M in August

  • Hungary's producer prices rose 1.3% m/m in August versus +0.7% in July, according to the Central Statistical Office. On a year-on-year basis, prices rose 3.0% compared to +2.5% the month prior – marking the highest for the series since June 2023.
  • Local news flow is otherwise light so far this morning. Ukraine’s recently-appointed foreign minister, Andrii Sybiha, is scheduled to visit Budapest to meet his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjarto.
