  • Hungary's trade balance showed a deficit for the seventh month in a row in January, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) confirmed in a second reading of data released on Friday.
  • Hungary, an export-driven economy where trade surpluses are the norm, had a EUR 244m trade deficit for the month
  • .Exports rose 16.5pc year-on-year to EUR 10.414bn and imports climbed 33.4pc to EUR 10.657bn.
  • Trade with other European Union member states accounted for 78pc of exports and 71pc of imports.
