Iberdrola Powers Up 500MW French Offshore Wind Farm

Spanish Firm Iberdrola has fully commissioned its 496MW Saint-Brieuc offshore wind farm off the coast of France, the firm said today.

  • The wind park will produce around 1.82 TWh/yr of power.
  • The project is the country's second offshore wind farm.
  • France is targeting 18GW of offshore wind by 2025, increasing to 45GW by 2050.
  • Iberdrola has also started building Germany’s 476MW Baltic Eagle and the UK’s 1.4GW East Anglia 3.
