RENEWABLES: Iberdrola to Increase Output of Spanish Wind by 30% Amid Repowering

Iberdrola will repower its 49.5MW Molar de Molinar and 48MW Isabela wind parks in Spain, increasing their output by 30%, with commissioning planned for 4Q25, turbine supplier Vestas said.
- Vestas will supply 22 turbines, or a combined capacity of 99MW, to replace 139 older models located at the sites.
- Deliveries of the turbines will begin in 2Q25.
- Spain’s repowering market is set to grow significantly, with over 9.9 GW of turbines reaching 20 years of age by 2025.
