AUSSIE: In a note released on Monday NAB suggested that they "are struggling to
get too bearish on AUD here in the absence of a much more pronounced run up in
the USD, again not our core view. So while we are marking our short term
(end-Q2) forecast to market at 0.75, our numbers t over the remainder of the
forecast horizon aren't changed (e.g. 0.77 for end Q3 and back to 0.75 by
year-end)."
- NAB also noted that "interest rates differentials can continue to move
modestly against the AUD from the US side, but from the AUD side much has now
been priced out of the Aussie curve by way of RBA tightening (one 25-point rate
rise is now not fully prices before May 2019)."
