India Crude Oil Imports Fall 2.3% y/y in November

India’s crude oil imports in November fell by 2.3% year on year to 18.57m tons compared to 18.73m tons in October, according to provisional data from the oil ministry’s Petroleum Planning & Analysis Cell.

  • Diesel exports rose by 43.2% year on year to 2.83m tons and up from 2.11m tons last month.
  • Gasoline exports rose by 3.6% on the year to 0.87m tons and up compared to 0.67m tons in October.
  • India's key industries' output rose 7.8% y/y in November, according to the Central Statistics Office. Petroleum refinery products rose 12.4% y/y but crude oil fell 0.4% y/y.
