Indian Refinery Throughput In Feb Rose 2% YoY

Indian refiners' crude oil processing remained near record levels in February at 5.46mbpd, up by 2% year on year, provisional government data showed.

  • Refinery throughput was 2% higher year-on-year at 5.46mbpd, or 20.85mn tons in Feb, the highest level since Reuters records started in 2009. Jan throughput stood at 5.39mbpd, or 22.80mn tons.
  • India's fuel demand hit its highest level in at least 24 years in February, with industrial activity in Asia's third biggest economy boosted by cheap Russian oil.
