INDONESIA: Survey Points to a Robust Period for Incoming Government

- A BBG poll has surveyed 34 market economists and strategists on their views for the Indonesian economy.
- Averaging their forecasts sees a predicted +5.0% GDP growth for 2024, +5.10% in 2025 and 2026.
- Economists surveyed forecast one additional rate cut from the Bank Indonesia before year end this year.
- Inflation for full year 2024 to be +2.50% YoY and for 2025 +2.70% YoY – a comfortable level for the Central Bank’s 1.5% to 3.5% target range.
- The respondents gave very little chance of a recession.
