US DATA: Initial unemployment claims +1k to 236k in August 26 week, 
as expected. The 4-wk moving avg -1,250 to 236,750, a fifth straight 
decline to the lowest point since the May 20 week. The average would 
fall by an additional 2,000 claims next week if the headline number is 
unchanged as the 244k level in the August 5 week rolls off. Seasonal 
adjustment factors had expected a decrease of 469 in unadjusted claims 
in the current week. Instead, unadjusted claims rose by 890 to 196,020. 
There were no state claims estimated this week. Continuing claims -12k 
to 1.942m in the August 19 week. The 4-wk moving avg for continuing 
claims -6,250 to 1.952m. The claims data remain below their year ago
