Funds positioning in UK ETS futures on the ICE exchange turned more bearish for the second consecutive week, the latest COT data as of 7 March showed.

  • Investment Funds net long positions decreased by 318 or -2.42%, to +12,840.
  • Investment Firms net short positions decreased by 835, or -2.30%, to -35,399.
  • Commercial Undertakings net long positions decreased by 1,432, or -5.86%, to +22,986.
  • UK ETS Dec25 allowances saw a weekly net decline of almost 9% between 28 Feb to 7 March, amid continued bearish sentiments while mirroring movements in EUAs.
