Iran Ready to Provide Oil to Global Markets

Iranian minister of petroleum Javad Owji said to SHANA news agency that the world needs more Iranian oil and that the country was ready to play a role in providing it away from politics.

  • "We have always declared that we are ready to contribute to our role in the supply of oil and oil products and to improve energy security in the world by avoiding politicization of oil and the political use of energy," he said.
  • There were hopes last month that talks surrounding the Iranian nuclear deal were making significant progress, opening the possibility of Iranian oil hitting global markets but positivity has since reverted.
