OIL
Iran will produce an additional 250k b/d of oil by the end of summer, according to Tasnim news agency, citing the head of the National Iranian Oil Company.
- “Iran’s oil production will reach 3.5 million bpd at the end of summer,” NIOC Managing Director Mohsen Khojasteh-Mehr said according to Tasnim.
- Iran’s exports have been limited since the US reimposed sanctions against the country’s oil exports in 2018, after exiting the 2015 nuclear accord.
- Exports have already increased since the start of the year with Bloomberg data showing an increase from just above 2.5m b/d in Feb up to just below 3mb/d last month.
