The ISM Services PMI hit a series high in March, 8.4 points higher at 63.7, up from 55.3 in March, coming well above market expectations (BBG: 58.7). The previous high in the near 25-year history of the series was 62.0 in August 1997. The March rise was broad-based with New Orders recording a gain of 15.3 points. Business Activity increased 13.9pt, while Employment rose by 4.5pt. Prices paid rose again, up 2.2 points to 74.0.
