BOND SUMMARY
BOND SUMMARY: It has been a fairly quiet morning for global core fixed income
with cash yields moving less than a basis point from yesterday's close across
USTs, Bunds and gilts. The biggest moves have been seen in ACGBs following
dovish comments from RBA Governor Lowe overnight.
- Portugal is the only notable mover in the Eurozone with spreads to Bund 3.1bp
tighter but there is no real notable news flow.
- Gilts have largely brushed off the latest Brexit news with headlines
suggesting Labour will vote against May's deal and a number of Tory MPs who had
previously supported the deal have now switched away, including Jacob Rees-Mogg.
The chances of the deal being passed remain remote.
- TY1 futures are up 0-1 today at 124-010 with 10y UST yields down -0.8bp at
2.409% and 2y yields unch at 2.222%.
- Bund futures are up 0.05 today at 166.84 with 10y Bund yields down -0.1bp at
-0.90% and Schatz yields up 0.4bp at -0.644%.
- Gilt futures are up 0.14 today at 128.83 with 10y yields down -0.5bp at 1.049%
and 2y yields down -0.2bp at 0.706%.
