AUSSIE BONDS
AUSSIE BONDS: It has been a quiet start to the week with Bonds operating around
SYCOM closing levels.
- The spaced lagged the uptick in U.S. Tsys observed on Friday, which has
allowed the AU/U.S. 10-Year spread to edge to ~-23.0bp last, while the domestic
3-/10-Year yield differential stands at 60.0bp.
- The Bill strip trades unchanged to 2 ticks higher last.
- Focus today falls on AU Melbourne Institute inflation data & Chinese Current
A/c data. Over the week AU interest will centre on tomorrow's RBA MonPol
decision, with universal expectations for the Bank to leave it's cash rate
unchanged, while the Bank is set to maintain its glass half full approach. There
will also be interest in the release of the Bank's SOMP on Friday. Elsewhere a
slew of Chinese data will provide interest to participants.
