Japan May Hold General Election On Oct 31

NHK runs a headline noting that Fumio Kishida is planning to hold a general election on October 31.

  • According to the report, Kishida is looking to dissolve the House of Representatives when its ongoing extraordinary session wraps up on October 14. Campaigning would formally start on October 19 and the poll would be held on October 31.
