Japan Says North Korean Projectile May Land Within Its EEZ

NORTH KOREA

Wires now running comments form the Japan Coast Guard noting that a North Korean missile launched earlier may land within Japan's Exclusive Economic Zone around 3.35pm JST.

  • It is expected to land off Aomori, the northernmost prefecture of Japan's main island of Honshu.
  • The Coast Guard earlier said that the projectile was a suspected ballistic missile fired toward the waters east of North Korea.
