JGBS
JGBS: JGB's finished higher yesterday, rising in the afternoon session after
strong auctions for 3-month bills and 30-year bonds, futures also saw some short
covering ahead of the Dec/Mar contract roll on 13 December. The curve saw some
mild bull flattening.
- JGB Opening Call Barclays: "Today should see recognition of the strong supply
and demand environment, but the market could prove top-heavy overall given the
overnight steepening in USTs and recovery in risk sentiment. We expect limited
movement across the curve. The BoJ is scheduled to hold buying operations for
1-5y and 10y+ issues."
