JGBS: JGBS opened Tokyo at 150.17, they ended the overnight session lower but
off of the days lows moving alongside Tsys on risk off bidding post
Spain/Catalan vote and U.S. Las Vegas shooting. The 10-Year JGB traded almost
flat on the first half of the Tokyo session but dipped after RBA Target Rate
announcements which remained unchanged. The 10-Year JGB is currently at 150.15
but did dip to 150.08 after the RBA announcement.
- Monetary Base figures came out at 15.6% despite surveys saying 16.7% and the
prior figure being 16.3%, Tankan price forecasts saw +1.1% CPI in 3 and 5 yrs
but +0.7% in 1 year.
- Today Japan sold Y2.3tln 10-Year bonds, the auction was well covered at 4.08x
from 3.95x previously on the same issue and the high yield was at 0.082% from
0.016%.
- The 10-Year Yield was up prior to the auction and is now flat, spreads are
very tight across the curve.
