JMMC Running Behind Schedule

Amena Bakr at EnergyIntel tweets: "The JMMC didn't start yet…". The Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC) was due to begin in Vienna at 1500 local time (0900ET, 1400BST), but - as is often the case with OPEC+ meetings - there is some delay to the start of proceedings.

  • The full OPEC+ ministerial meeting is due to begin at 1630CET (1030ET, 1530BST), but this schedule now seems unlikely to be fulfilled.
  • There remains no confirmation of the earlier headline that the UAE is now willing to accept no change being made to planned August oil production levels, which would see supply constrained for another month at least.
