YEN
YEN: JPY sits moderately weaker across the board at the NY crossover.
- GBPJPY sits top of the pile having earlier breached the Y138.00 level, rate
extended to Y138.17 with near-term resistance at Y138.54 from the 38.2% fibo of
the May 21-May 31 fall.
- NZDJPY improved to Y71.90, but has so far struggled to overcome the Y71.90/00
area which registered a series of previous highs.
- Also, a worthy reminder that the PBoC governor Yi & US Treasury Secretary
Mnuchin are scheduled to meet at the weekend in Fukuoka, Japan for G20 meetings.
Yi added "it will be a productive talk, as always," though the topic of the
trade war would be "uncertain and difficult."
