Judge Challenges AMLO By Ordering More Law Suspensions

  • Judge Juan Pablo Gómez, who stopped the electricity bill that grants enormous privileges to foreign companies, challenged Mexico´s President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, when ordering new law suspensions.
  • Pablo Gómez, acting lawyer in the Second District Court on Economic Competition, granted another four provisional suspensions against the electricity bill, this time in favour of 13 private companies.
  • The judge argued that his ruling does not violate public order provisions or social interest by granting the precautionary measure in favour of those companies. (Prensa Latina)
