AUSSIE SUMMARY: *Jul27 Aussie-dollar open $0.8005, range $0.7993 to $0.8066
*Aussie opened in Asia at the upper side of Wednesday's range, where a perceived

antipodean
*Initially dipping from $0.8013 to $0.7993 on light profit-sales, broad based US
dollar weakness took hold. Stops were reportedly triggered above $0.8020 pushing
the Aussie to $0.8043
*Dips were shallow and limited to $0.8031. Demand for Aussie crosses and talk of
local exporter hedging requirements then pushed the Aussie through $0.8050 to
post a high at $0.8066
*Ahead of the London open, the Aussie consolidated above $0.8050
*US durable goods orders and initial jobless claims provide the risk hurdles for
