US DATA: Kansas City Fed Manufacturing Index comes in at 3 in July, below 5
expected but above 1 prior. Future expectations of regional firms were up
sharply, while both finished goods/raw materials prices were expected to rise in
the next six months.
- Per KC Fed: "Production, shipments, new orders, and supplier delivery time
indexes remained positive, and indexes for order backlog and employment
recovered to positive levels. Only new orders for exports and inventories
indexes remained negative.
