Kazakh Pipeline Operator Starts Accepting Oil Bound for Germany

Kaztransoil started to accept oil today, seeking to send 20k tons to Germany via Druzhba pipeline this month, according to Kaztransoil spokesman Shyngys Ilyasov.

  • Germany aims to use volumes from Kazakhstan via the Druzhba pipeline to replace Russian flows for it’s Leuna and Schwedt refineries.
  • There are concerns about the reliability of such supply because the pipeline passes through Russia.
