Kazakhstan and Russia agree on Kazakh oil Flows to Germany

Kazkahstan and Russia have agreed upon the transportation of 1.2m mt of Kazakh oil to Germany via the Druzhba pipeline, according to TASS, citing the Kazakh Energy Ministry.

  • "The parties, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation, have recently agreed upon the technical opportunity of transporting along this route in 2024 in the same volumes - up to 1.2m metric tons per year," the Energy Ministry’s press service told TASS.
  • The oil will be transported first via the Atyrau-Samara pipeline into Russia and then via the Druzhba pipeline to Germany.
