Kazakhstan’s KazMunayGas has extended its contract to supply oil to Germany’s Schwedt refinery until the end of 2024, according to Interfax.

  • Kazakh KEBCO grade arrives at the Schwedt refinery via the Druzhba pipeline and totalled 420k mt from Jan-April 2024.
  • Kazakhstan’s Oil Minister said that he had received requests from German companies to increase oil supply to 2m mt.
  • Preliminary consultations are underway to boost volumes in 2024.
