Kazakhstan Remains Committed to OPEC+ Cooperation

Kazakhstan’s PM and OPEC’s Secretary General discussed the current situation on the international market for oil and Kazakhstan reaffirmed its cooperation within OPEC+, Interfax reported.

  • This is despite its continued overproduction, amounting to 669k b/d across Jan-July.
  • Despite having submitted an overproduction compensation plan, Kazakhstan overshot its quotas of 1.45 b/d by around 120k b/d.
  • Kazakhstan must compensate for 49k b/d in August, Interfax said.
