Kazakhstan's Oil Production Slips Late July

Kazakhstan’s daily oil production fell to 227.7k tons, or 1.67m bbl on July 23 according to ministry data.

  • It is down from 243.4k tons or 1.78m bbl July 20.
  • The reason for the current drop is not apparent but the market has been closely watching production figures from Kazakhstan after they were hit by power cuts earlier in the month.
  • Production levels had almost entirely recovered after the power cut reduced flows before the latest slip.
