Kazakhstan’s Crude Output Fell In Feb On Tengiz Maintenance

Kazakhstan’s crude and condensate production slipped in February, after one of six trains at the Tengiz field was shut for part of the month for unplanned work data from Kazakhstan’s Information-Analytical Centre of Oil & Gas showed.

  • Crude and condensate output In Feb declined to 1.85mbpd, down from 1.88mbpd in Jan.
  • Excluding condensate, crude production stood at 1.59mbpd in Feb, below its 1.628mbpd OPEC quota.
  • Production was reduced by unplanned works at the giant Tengiz field as one of the six production trains went offline on 9 Feb. Output was fully restored at Tengiz near the end of the month, operator TCO said.
