Kazakhstan’s Oil Output Remains Lower on Storm

Kazakhstan’s oil output remains reduced following the halt of the CPC and Novorossiysk oil terminals due to a storm in the region, the Energy Ministry said on Thursday, cited by Reuters.

  • Kazakhstan's three largest oilfields cut their combined daily output by 103,800 metric tons on Wednesday. Production was down 67% at the Tengiz field, 65% lower at the Kashagan field and 34% down at the Karachaganak field.
  • Kazakhstan’s oil production was at 184.6k tons on 28 November, down from 212.3k tons on 27 November, 214.5k tons on 26 November and 253.1k tons on 25 November, the Energy Ministry said previously.
  • Previous reports stated the halt to loadings is likely to last until the end of November.
