KC President George spoke in radio interview....>

FED: KC President George spoke in radio interview earlier today. Don't think

we'd heard from George (hawk, non-2020 voter) since mid-March ... though not

revealing anything earth-shattering in the interview, largely in line with what

we've heard from most on FOMC.

- Per BBG, George says she supported the rate cuts to near-zero, and that now

Fed policy is "properly calibrated". She expects "slow, steady progress as

economy reopens", but it's worth Congress considering additional fiscal stimulus

to boost the economy.

- On the labor market: "we are seeing signs of stabilization" and that we have

reached the peak, but the data could be "a little noisy for a few months" and

"the challenge will be how quickly [the unemployment rate] goes down".
