Kremlin-No Plans To Supply Countries Supporting Oil Price Cap

RUSSIA

Wires carrying comments from Kremlin spox Dmitri Peskov. States that, "We do not plan to supply oil to countries supporting the [G7-proposed] oil price cap", adds that "The market impact of the "ceiling" of oil and gas prices is still difficult to assess - for the time being, we proceed from the fact that we will not supply, but we must analyse."

  • Should be noted that many Western nations already have bans in place on Russian oil, and those that do not have mostly significantly reduced their import of Russian oil.
  • Repeats claim that the missile barrage on Ukrainian cities that has killed many in the past week were focused on infrastructure. Says 'there have been and are no strikes on social facilities'.
  • Says that, "the Ukrainian leadership can end people's suffering by meeting Russia's demands".
