Wires carrying comments from Kremlin spox Dmitri Peskov. States that there is no talk of a summit between President Vladimir Putin and US President Joe Biden 'for the time being'. On the war in Ukraine says that Moscow welcomes any efforts for peace in Ukraine, adding Kyiv 'scrupulously fulfills the directives of West'.
- Confirms that Putin held a call with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Comes after Russia confirmed that it will not 'cut off' the Black Sea Grain Initiative, brokered by Turkey and the UN, that allows the export of grain from Ukrainian and Russian ports on the Black Sea. Russia attempting to get exports of fertiliser added to the deal, but this is yet to be agreed to.
- On the Swedish investigation into the Nord Stream gas pipeline explosion, which investigators say was sabotage, Peskov states that 'Russia will wait until a full damage assessment is done before deciding on repairs, if any.'
