Comments on Taiwan come after yesterday's lengthy call between US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping, in which Xi warned Biden on the Taiwan issue, stating "Those who play with fire will only get burned, (We) hope the US side can see this clearly." China and Russia have engaged in closer relations in recent years as both sides seek to bolster stances against the US. Nevertheless, historic rivalry between the two nations and Chinese concerns about Russia's major difficulty in defeating a much smaller military force acting as something of a hindrance to greater military cooperation.
