Kwarteng To Meet Wall Street Bankers Tomorrow

Bloomberg has reported that UK Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng will meet with representatives from Wall Street firms tomorrow to discuss his government's growth plans, outlined in a "mini-budget" on Friday.

  • According to Bloomberg, "executives from lenders including Bank of America Corp., Citigroup Inc., JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Morgan Stanley will meet with Treasury officials."
  • The meeting follows a similar consultative meeting with executives from asset management firms today. Blomberg reports that attendees of today's meeting were assured by Kwarteng that, "he remains confident in his plans despite the market reaction."
