Labour Lead Over Conservatives Up To 5 Points In Latest Ipsos/MORI Poll

The main opposition Labour Party carries a 5 point lead over the governing Conservatives of PM Boris Johnson in the latest Ipsos/MORI poll for the Evening Standard.

  • Labour 42% (+5), Conservative 37% (-3), Lib Dems 8% (nc), Greens 5% (nc), 1,007 interviewed by telephone, Oct 22-28 (changes from Sept). Fieldwork before EHRC report & fallout.
  • Largest polling lead for Labour over Conservatives since Survation poll from July 11, 2019.
  • Largest polling lead for Labour over Conservatives with Ipsos/MORI since April 7, 2014.
  • While of course this is just one poll, it does continue the trend of Labour recording some polling wins over the Conservatives for the first time in over a year.
