Light Trans-Tasman Pressure Seen Post-RBNZ

AUSSIE BONDS

The shift higher in the RBNZ’s OCR track which is notably more aggressive when it comes to the prospect of tightening in ’23 & ’24, coupled with the announcement that the RBNZ is set to wind down the size of its balance sheet (not investing maturing NZGBs & selling NZGBs back to the NZDM from July) has applied some light trans-Tasman pressure to the ACGB space. YM is now -7.0, with XM -6.0, although both operate comfortably above their pre-WPI session lows.
