Lithuania FSRU to Undergo Maintenance in May-June Next Year

LNG

Regasification at Lithuania’s floating storage and regasification terminal will be halted from May 1 to June 13 next year as the FSRU Independence is sent for its first dry-dock inspection according to operator KN.

  • The outage period includes about 12 days of travel to and from the dock and about 25 days of repair work at a yet to be specified “southwestern European” port.
  • “Together with the Baltic-Finnish TSOs, this period of terminal unavailability has been evaluated in the preparation of a joint consolidated maintenance plan for the Baltic-Finnish region for the period from October 2023 to December 2024.”
  • Gas supplies to Lithuania will be covered through an interconnection between Lithuania and Poland and from gas storage in Latvia.
