Little Changed Overnight

AUSSIE BONDS

Aussie bond futures were subjected to modest bull steepening pressure in overnight trade, aided by the more pronounced move in U.S. Tsys, finishing comfortably off of range extremes, leaving YM +1.5 & XM +1.0 shortly after the final Sydney re-open of the week, roughly in line with late overnight session levels. Bills print -1 to +1 through the reds.

  • Local news flow remains limited, with most of the headlines in recent days (outside of data and references to spill over to RBA policy settings) focused on transgressions from ex-PM Morrison during his time in office.
  • Looking ahead, A$700mn of ACGB Nov-27 supply and the release of the weekly AOFM issuance slate headlines the domestic docket on Friday.
